GOODWILL TOUR OF EUROPE
October - November 2005

(Note: The Goodwill Tour of Europe has successfully concluded, but the following promotional article is being left on this page to explain what the tour is about.)

Join us for
a once-in-a-lifetime
"trip of discovery!"

The Carl Barks Fan Club has finalized our plans for our European tour this Fall.  Some accommodations in the various cities have yet to be finalized, but air arrangements have been made. The centerpiece of the tour will be the Barks International Art Exhibition to be held in Rapallo, Italy, from September 17 through October 2, 2005!

We are also planning on visiting 3 other “hub” cities to meet with various comic book publishers as well as various Carl Barks clubs and societies throughout Europe.

Please contact ED BERGEN ASAP if you would like to accompany 8-10 of our club members (so far) on this Carl Barks/Disney Duck event of the year! The entire trip or portions thereof are open to ALL CBFC CLUB MEMBERS!! CBFC member, Tom Barker, plans to go on the entire trip and produce a professional video of our tour!

Airfare for ALL LEGS of the journey has come in at a very reasonable $1400-1500 so far with the total trip estimated to be in the range of $4,000-5,000! (PLEASE NOTE: No CBFC treasury funds are being used for any travel expenses…ALL individual trip participants are traveling at their own expense).

Given the current exchange rate between the dollar and the euro being what it is, the estimated cost seems to be reasonable!
